by Gerard J. Surprenant

"Deck The Halls" and colored balls,
Snowflakes by the dozens.
Greeting cards and yards and yards
Of ribbons, gifts and cousins.
T'is the season to get holly
And greenery with lights on.
For blazing ties to make you jolly
And goodies to set your sights on.
Carolers on caroling rounds
With familiar songs of glee.
And children all come barreling down
To search under a tree.
Have good cheer, a great New Year,
There's plenty to be done.
But most of all, hold someone near
And ( of course ) have some fun.
